Well, actually there really isn’t anything new other than that I haven’t exactly taken their word for it that my problems are all rooted around the frequency of my cordless phone. I’ve been trying to do some research online to determine if this is really the problem, and I cannot seem to find a single case of anyone running into this. Unfortunately the search terms aren’t exactly perfect, so it’s a matter of try and see. Additionally, I tried going down the route of asking Linksys, however they said they were not allowed to provide support for the product and that it’s Lingo that should provide that support. I’ve even gone as far as searching for people with Lingo with that specific phone (AT&T 5840), but to no avail. SO, I may grab a newer 5.8+ cordless phone set just to see what kind of results I get, in addition to poking Lingo’s customer service a little more (and hopefully get someone who can speak English clearly).
Either way, if it really is true that Lingo’s hardware can only support 3.6ghz or less cordless phones, I’m to do what I can to try and make sure people know of this. I know a lowly little blog such as mine doesn’t get a lot of attention. However, hopefully I can at least get the word out to just a few people that they better watch what they are getting themselves into when signing up for Lingo VoIP service.
Update 11/23/2007: I just today resolved my issues with Lingo, so definitely read on – as much of this was just a matter of miscommunication.
