Well, as you can probably tell, Gallery2′s hosed up again. This time, it’s probably something I could have waited on, as it only effected certain pictures as they were being uploaded, resulting in an inability to create correct thumbnails. However, I think the longer I let this issue linger, the harder it’s going to be later to fix. I didn’t quite have the time to debug the cause of this, however the error message I kept receiving (“Edit Conflict”), can be due to switching back and forth between embedded and non-embedded gallery setup (which is something I did). Either way, I’m currently getting things back up to par, so please have patience.
On a separate note, my gallery is now listed as one of the “Gallery Demo Sites” on Gallery’s project page.
Browse to http://jason.mock.ws/gallery2/lib/support, enter the password then clear the cache. That should fix this problem.
That was one of the many things that I tried to do, as I found it (with a few other suggestions) through the forms. I think I was even making stuff up, such as deleting the affected albums and re-uploading them. What was really weird was, it seemed to affect specific albums and I guess specific album names. I could upload to these “non-affected” albums, and everything would work fine. I could always turn off the square thumbnails, still receive the error message in some cases, but then the thumbnails would at least appear correct in that case. Either way, at this point I have re-installed, and gotten my gallery much futher than I had before (actually had some time to upload all the pictures I have). Thank you for the suggestion though bharat! I appreciate it…. Hopefully I can get some free time (hahahahaha… ) and help out gallery2 some…
