The Week of Surgeries

Well it appears that so far the week of surgies is closing to an end with everyone, so far, handling it well. Of course, that is always easy for those not having the sugery to say. But, I understand all to well thanks to my pacemaker. Either way, the two surgeries I refer to are the one to remove a spur in my mom’s shoulder and the second to bind Christine’s leg with a rod to hopefully get the bone healed (like it should be). I don’t remember right off hand what started my mom’s should pain, but they found after an X-Ray that she had a bone spur that they had to remove. Wednesday morning they not only removed the spur, they also repair two tears (one being referred to as “pretty big”). She spent today probably watching movies at home, while Christine went in for hers. Anyone who knows Christine knows the story behind her surgery in the horrible car crash she had off I-25 last year. Unfortunately, her bones have not been healing like they should, so they are resorting to the rods to hopefully get them to heal better. We saw her tonight since she has to stay at least one night, and she appears to be doing ok (but at the time she still had the nurve block in effect). Hopefully they both heal ok, but at least the first part is over with…

One Response to The Week of Surgeries

Just earlier this week I also found out that there was another surgery that took place on Friday. Brenda, after a on going battle with endometriosis, had a hysterectomy. Fortunately, along with everyone else, she seems to be doing ok so far :-) .
