2 Very Interesting Weeks, and 3 More to Go…

Well, I’m sorry to everyone for not having posted anything in some time. Just to keep a long story short, that past 2 weeks have to be one of the most frustrating 2 weeks of my life. “Kiss Me Kate” with A.R.T. went off pretty well, pretty much ending the last of the major things going on before Lena and I’s trip to Germany. Despite how apprehensive I was about doing the show as felt a little burnt out after doing “A Midsummer Night’s Dream”, I did enjoy how well the end product came out. That is where everything began with the show ending and the issue of the missing make-up. Ever since I’ve joined A.R.T. I have simply made use of Lena’s make-up for the shows, that way I can keep the cost down to a minimum. Unfortunately I made the simple mistake of not immediately taking the make-up box to my car after the show as I did with all the rest of my stuff. I set it down figuring I could grab it later in the strike… This resulted in it being picked up by someone doing a sweep of the guy’s dressing room, which then resulted in the make-up box still not appearing at the studio (as many of the people involved are given a “bring it in when your here the next time” directive). This sets the tone for the next two weeks as this did make Lena quite upset. This along with Monday at work continuing this theme with two different phone calls, one starting up work on a development project I’ve been on for a while, and the second involving the beginning of connecting a T-1 line as part of our companies integration plan. So the past two weeks of work have been very busy and loaded with tasks to accomplish, along with being an emotional roller coaster, but it’s now finally time to relax (which I know is relative with how many things Opa has planned for us to do). 20 days to be exactly, flying out on in the evening of Sept. 7, to return again in the evening on Sept 27. I now bid everyone adeiu until I return….
